At some point (1941?) Remington started using the "N" Prefix instead of "ND" for their Noiseless Deluxes. Serial Numbers to 7 digits. I used Noiseless Deluxe Serial #N1140337 from the TWDB to date this Smith Premier Noiseless Deluxe in the 1940's after #N1140337 from the TWDB. I found this máquina de escribir on Mercado Libre Argentina (https://www.mercadolibre.com.ar).

I have resuscitated three Remington Noiseless Portables all of which I use often. There are two 1933's and one 1937. I live in the New York City area. I visited the Typewriter Museum in Milan, Italy in 2018 and saw many machines I'd never seen in person before and now have new understanding of the different sizes of the machines. I enjoy typewriter hunting and use TWDB as a reference. I am "noahwrote" on http://typewriter.boardhost.com.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Premier Noiseless Portable Deluxe on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Premier Serial Number page and the Smith Premier Noiseless Portable Deluxe By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
