I’m going to presume the book was written on this, however unlikely that may be (in the early- to mid-1990s?).

The Library had it “for the kids to bang on,” but the kids just tore out the ribbon. Still works, of course; it’s a Smith Corona. It needed a bit of repair but now works nicely.
