Description:
Purchased this when I was on vacation in Ohio. Carried it onto the plane with me back to Australia. It has a screw missing from the back hinge panel. The return lever droops lower than it should, there is a screw missing in the mechanism. I also tried to clean it with mineral spirits, which ruined the crinkle finish. Classic typewriter mistake. This typer makes the best imprint of any in my collection. It does have a very spongy feel as I type though, which is not my favourite. Despite not having that snappy feel I prefer, it does type fast and well. Being a Sterling, it has manual tabs in the back. The basket shift on this thing is SO smooth. Overall a GREAT typewriter.
