Based on the serial number and the fact that it not labeled as either "Baby" or "Rocket" this model might fall into the transition period between the two names. I live in San Francisco where I do scientific research and collect old typewriter (both English and Russian). My current favorite is a 1950's Smith-Corona Skyriter. Ask me again tomorrow and I will have a different answer.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Hermes Baby on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Hermes Serial Number page and the Hermes Baby By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
