Description:
I bought this Adler last summer. The seller wouldn't ship it, so it added a gas tank to its base cost. The seller had totally brute forced the case because he did not know how to open it. So the case is not usable. Or very nice looking. Apart from some missing plating on some of the washers, the return handle shoulder screw, some paint blemishes on the cover and a scratch on the left side, this machine is an absolute beauty. Love this thing.

I fell into the typewriter rabbit hole due to nostalgia: I used to have a massive Olympia SG1 when I was a kid. It formed my typing habits, which is why I am called a "furious typer" by my coworkers. Came across the r/typewriters page on Reddit which rekindled my love for these wonderful machines. Lets just hope I don't start pushing screens off my desk when I reach the end of a line...
I also have a modest Youtube channel where I document the progress of my typewriter journey: https://www.youtube.com/@Slug_Life
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Adler 46 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Adler Serial Number page and the Adler 46 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
