Description:
Purchased at a garage sale in Cedar Rapids, IA on 4/15/2011 for $25.
The crayon on the top has given me nothing but grief and I have tried EVERYTHING to get it off. Nothing works. Hairdryer and/or iron with paper towel. Magic eraser. Dish soap. Kerosene. Toothbrush. I may just have to repaint the top.
Otherwise, it's a fine machine.

I've been collecting typewriters since 2010. I currently have 100+ machines in my possession. A little over half of them reside in my "personal" collection, while the rest are machines I intend to clean up for sale, or are long-term restoration projects (I'm looking at you, Olivers and Foxes!).
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal Quiet De Luxe on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal Quiet De Luxe By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
