Description:
I'd wanted a 'Quiet De Luxe, but I wanted a Dreyfuss designed machine, and also a two-tone black and gray machine.
This meant it could only be one year, 1948.
From sheer dumb luck, my partner and I came across this one in a small New Jersey antique shop, with a key tied to the handle.
I needed to give it a light service, and a new ribbon.
