Description:
Antiques store find with typewriter and case in very nice condition. Just required a minor tuneup. The platen is very hard and needs to be replaced to make it an excellent typewrite elite typefacer. I do like the Dreyfuss design, although I still prefer typing on my Smith Corona series 5 Sterling.

Retired newspaper production manager. Typed thousands of pages advertising copy to be sent to typesetters on a Underwood Standard during the 1970's. Enjoy everything analog after many years living in the digital world. Purchased my first manual typewriter (Smith Corona Classic 12) nine months ago. Since then I have picked a few nice typewriters. I feel I am more a user than a collector.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal Quiet De Luxe on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal Quiet De Luxe By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
