Description:
My first typewriter. I picked this up from an online auction house in Seattle. No case. The band was broken, it was dirty, and many keys were sticky. Key wear indicates significant usage. I fixed the band with a section of fishing leader. After some cleaning and degunking, it works quite well. The caps lock doesn't hold the shift in the correct position; I can't quite figure out what's wrong there.

Retired software engineer, enjoying troubleshooting problems knowing the root cause is always a hardware problem. Unless it's an operator problem, of course. I currently have three, all manuals, one each from the 40's, 50's, and 60's. We'll see if I can hold it to three, but the 30's and 70's beckon.
