1948 Moskva 2 Serial # 15491 1948 Moskva 2 typewriter, Serial # 15491 Aleks Shipilov's 1948 Moskva 2 typewriter. 2026-07-03 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Aleks Shipilov: 1948 Moskva 2 Serial # 15491 Presumably, in the initial batches of the "Moscow" Model No. 2 printing machine,
which date back to the period of 1947-1948 production,
a large enamel emblem with a diameter of 25.8 mm was installed.
In contrast, subsequent batches and modifications of printing machines feature a compact design with a diameter of 18.3 mm.
The nut has a stamp in the form of the abbreviation "Ш.Э.З" and two five-pointed stars.
"Ш.Э.З" stands for the Moscow Stamping and Enameling Plant, which was located at the address
city of Moscow, Aviamotornaya Street, 55, building 8.
According to phalerists, it was in 1948-1949 that these nuts were marked with the SH.E.Z. stamp and two stars.

The paper table also features an early "Moscow" text decal applied in white paint.
In contrast, subsequent batches and modifications of printing machines featured decals applied in gold and red paint,
with a different, more "stern" design.
