Description:
This is a great 4-Series Sterling with some international flair. It was originally purchased in Iraq in 1947 (see original bill of sale) and is suspected to have been a custom ordered machine as there are a few interesting typeset/key combinations.
This machine was in very good condition when brought in to the collection and is even better now after having all the rubber replaced top to bottom. Typeface is PICA (10 CPI) and as a side note, the āDā slug has been replaced and is slightly different, but well aligned.
I think this is one of thoseā¦ āIf this machine could talkā¦ The stories it must have.ā machines.

My name is Chris (most call me 'Mac')... and... I have a typewriter problem...
I'm currently experiencing an analog mid-life crisis, or it could be an undiagnosed case of Luddism -- I'm not completely sure. Interests creeping into my life include: vinyl records, tube amps, mechanical timepieces, film photography, motorcycles and of course... typewriters.
Keep the ink flying!
