Description:
Purchased in Spring 2021 from an eBay seller in Vernon, NJ. Original owner probably bought while a student at UNC in Greensboro, NC during the '71–'72 school year, perhaps from the campus bookstore. Through the decades, she and her husband carefully preserved the key, brush, original sales tag, instruction booklet, and the envelope that came in! Well cared for, and also heavily used. This followed her to work at a theatre troupe in Ohio after college, then to Bantam Doubleday Dell in Manhattan in the early 1980s, where she lived in Queens. As an executive editor, Ms. Turner worked early drafts of Dell Magazine on this machine into the wee hours of the morning, especially enjoying their logic puzzles. When she left in the mid-1990s, this was retired to storage where it acquired a slight mold. Required heavy cleaning and many Concrobium/sun baths. Slight wear spot, possibly from frequently handling. Elite typeface.
