Description:
It's time for big American typewriters from the 40s, usually not easy to find here. After a Royal KMG from 1949 just a few days ago, here another find, a very big Smith Corona "Silent Secretarial" from 1947. A beautiful and huge typewriter. fully functional after a minimum of lubrication and cleaning. A pleasure to write with it even if, by my point of view, not so "silent".

I have been an Italian typewriter collector for many many years. At that time, I loved very old typewriters from late 1800s to early 1900s. After a break of a few years I returned to collect typewriters but no longer so old, I prefer now the design of the 40's, 50's and 60's. Yes, I am an affectionate collector of Olivetti, of course, but I'm attracted to all the other brands from that period, not just Italian.
