Description:
The typewriter is mechanically complete and operable. Lacks the back cover (is a pity), but an Hermes turned into a RUF accountant typewriter is one not to leave alone.
Of course it has a row of decimal tabulators, and a difference with the "donor" model (Hermes 6) is with the numbers row: In spite of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, the RUF has 1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9.0
Raising the ribbon cover you can see the square ribbon spools housing. A clear sign of the Hermes "ADN".
With a new ribbon I will put the RUF to the test. At first glance it looks not particulary heavy.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Hermes Ruf on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Hermes Serial Number page and the Hermes Ruf By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
