Description:
FB Marketplace - picked up in Fergus, ON. British Pound and Dollar sign keys on same machine, Floating Shift. Required a good cleaning as all foam and inside of the case smelled moldy. Smells nice now!

My father brought with him a Hermes Rocket when he emigrated from the UK to Canada in 1967 and I remember playing with it as a kid. This memory was reignited while I was in Montreal for work this past February and came across a stationery shop that had five typewriters in the window. When I got home, I went on the hunt for my first typewriter - caught the bug and haven't stopped!
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Smith Corona Clipper on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Smith Corona Serial Number page and the Smith Corona Clipper By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
