Description:
I found this machine at a thrift store in the Gladstone, MO Red Racks. It was just like I remember most things over 40 years old: smells like smoke and mold. But I had to have it. I've wanted a typewriter as a fun thing to see and do (and own) for a while, and for $30? Yeah, why not?
This unit took a lot of adjustment and playing to get working right, but I learned so much while figuring it out that I got hooked. In less than a month, I have 11 typewriters that will all be posted soon!
Now that I've worked on several more typewriters with great success, I can tell with my typeface specimen that I didn't adjust it well. I guess that's my next project!

I am a student, father, and metrologist (gauges, not weather), Dungeon Master and typewriter tinkerer extraordinaire! I've only been at collecting and fixing since August 2018, but I already am a more confident person. I have learned a great deal from many of the wonderful resources available on the Internet, and I've met a lot of awesome people in my travels! Hopefully some folks can say the same about me!
