Description:
The third Baby at home, and I was more or less forced to acquire this one. A good friend badly wanted to sell it, so I bought / rescued the typewriter. IĀ“m not a big fan of the Baby, but IĀ“ve ended up with three of them and I still donĀ“t have any of the newer generation.
The typewriter isnĀ“t in good shape. Everything points at a bad repairing attempt because the mainspring drum is wrongly mounted and the back panel isnĀ“t properly fixed to the body. Most probably the spring lost tension and someone tried to fix it but didnĀ“t succeed.
It doesnĀ“t work and IĀ“m in no hurry to fix it, but IĀ“ll eventually do it.

The first typewriter I saw was my grandpa´s Olivetti Linea 98 at the office. It was just a curio for me. Then I was given a Nakajima, which I didn´t use and my grandfather took it from me because it was easier to handle than the bulky Linea 98. Now I own that typewriter, and I started a little collection in Valladolid, Spain. The Nakajima, which is "my" typewriter only returned home in 2017, almost 20 years later, when he wanted a better typewriter.
A collection that started small grew into something bigger, a nuisace for my family and a great source of satisfaction for me.
