Description:
I just recently obtained this indestructible Olympia and haven't had a chance to go through with a thorough cleaning. The umlaut's and some German lettering remain. Looking forward to sprucing these machine up. The seller told me that his father brought it home from the German occupation in 1946 and that he remembered typing on it a few times as a child.

Don't hold on to anything tighter than you hold on to a Hermes 3000.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia Progress on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia Progress By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
