Description:
This typewriter was used until circa 2005 as decoration in a bar. One night a group of teenage girls 'liberated' the machine and took it home. (Until today it is a complete mystery how they manage to smuggle the heavy behemoth outside the bar.) The typewriter was kept for around 15 years as a trophy. The candle wax from the bar is still on the machine.
The War Finish edition had chemically-blackened metal parts, to preserve the supplies of nickel and chrome.
The serial starts with a Z, but is lower than the value assigned to 1945 in the TWDB, so I guess the this machine was build in 1944.

I live in The Netherlands.
Most common typewriter brands over here are Triumph/Adler, Olympia, Erika, Olivetti, Remington and Brother.
I collect and restore typewriters to learn about their design and to write with them.
