Description:
This 1943 typewriter was brought back from Germany after WWII by an American Red Cross nurse named Eugene Bishop. It has been converted to a QWERTY keyboard and has had a few other apparent non-factory modifications- it has a "$" key and two "4" keys. It's seen a lot of use but still works and I am going to preserve it the way it is. This was the first typewriter in my collection.
