Description:
Sold to a collector in South Range WI. Lovely condition Erika with an unusual keyboard. Prad variant of the Czech layout (I was informed via Instagram). Needs a bit more mechanical cleanup to fix a couple of sticky keys, escapement sticks, but generally a good typer. Platen original and noisy but paper feeds fine. This is one you just like looking at. Sourced at an antique mall. Seller brought it from Germany post WWII. He felt quite sentimental about selling it but it was time, I guess.
I also recovered the case. Used original handle that needs a bit of re-enforcement but generally good looking.

I have a passion for analog methods of putting words on paper. I own a letterpress shop that helps to fill this desire, but found typewriters also have a role in producing written materials with a value-added dimension. I'm drawn to working typewriters and renovate them as I am able. I'm pretty handy with things mechanical. Overall, I feel more like an enthusiast with a collection that will get used by design. I understand the temptation to buy them all, but I don't have a store to sell them in. I'm also no expert in repair, so it's a matter of finding the best typefaces and typing feel that helps me to get words on paper. Type on!
