Description:
I bought this many years ago and used it quite extensively.
Up until today I believed it was a 1941 model, but after rechecking the serial number it turns out that it is a 1942 model.
I often wonder who bought this in '42 and how it was built at all.... Quiet De Luxes were not supposed to have been built during this time....
Left the collection on 5-10-2017. Went to a World War II reenactor who is going to display it in a field desk along with his WWII Jeep.

I started collecting typewriters several years ago and it started with a late 1960s Smith-Corona Sterling portable that I got as a gift.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal Quiet De Luxe on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal Quiet De Luxe By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
