Description:
The Underwood Champion is a nice machine. I got an Underwood Leader some time ago and I quite liked how it typed so when I saw this machine in a local antique store I had to get it.

Hi, I started collecting typewriters in my early teens . One day I stumbled across an antique store on my way home, I saw a typewriter outside the shop and I urged my Mother to pull over so I could check it out. I don't know where this intrigue can from but after that machine I became fascinated with them. I figured I should mention that, most people seem to get into this hobby for nostalgia, I just like mechanical things.
I started a Youtube channel called The Jersey Type

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Underwood Champion on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Underwood Serial Number page and the Underwood Champion By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
