Got this for Christmas 2018. We got it from a lady in West Virginia who though she might have gotten it from Mr. Typewriter. I found a similar one on his site, perhaps the same one, and he implied the paint was original. I don't think it is because 1) no decal on the back 2) it's too pretty and shiny for the time and 3) I think the colored QDLs of this generation were only offered in 1939... But the paint is stunning and this is the prettiest machine I own and I love it!
