Description:
I got this as a donation. It is a good machine and I actually prefer using this machine to my Royal Quiet De Luxe!
Unfortunately, lately it has been developing some escapement problems that you can see occured once in the type sample while I was typing 'over.' Otherwise it is a good machine.
Left the collection on 8/9/2017.

I started collecting typewriters several years ago and it started with a late 1960s Smith-Corona Sterling portable that I got as a gift.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal Companion on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal Companion By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
