1940 Underwood Master

Somewhat Working Condition. I got this machine from an old brewery, stating that in the past, it was the original office typewriter. It was very rusted and required a lot of work to get it moving, howeverm with limited use, it has become stuck again. I also had to replace the feet, using metal furnature slides that magically screwed into the same holes for the feet.

Though I have had a love for typewriters since I was a kid (in the 90's) I didn't start collecting in earnest until 2020 (having had 3 typewriters still in my posession and several long gone). Since then, I have become an avid collector, focusing primarily on fully functional manual typewriters. After collecting more than 30, I determined that my favorite Brand overall is Smith Corona and I attempt to hone my collection in that direction. Here's the preservation of one of the best storytellers we've ever known!!
