Description:
I'll bet a few people who keep up with eBay typewriter listings will recognize this one. It went unsold several times, I just waited for the price to go low enough for me to want to buy it.
This typewriter was used by the German military in WW2. No SS symbol, thankfully. That would have made this otherwise nice little typewriter a little ominous. More ominous than it already is, anyways.
I fixed its issues and it is working for the most part. A nice typer, not as good as my mechanically identical Progress but that can be attributed to wear.
Note the crooked Y and Z characters. Whoever had them switched did a very poor job.
