CONTINENTAL SILENTA TYPEWRITER
The typewriter is in very good condition, has original parts and works without any issues. Decals and paint are well preserved. What is more this typewriter is really easy in use, because everything works so smoothly and quiet.
Manufactured by Wanderer-Werke AG in January 1940(sn. 750260)
Interesting fact about this type of typewriter is that they feature an amazing silent mechanism, which is very complex in build and makes these typewriters write more quiet than others. Silenta typewriters were made with incredible precision therefore while repairing this type of mechanism avoid WD-40 and use some lighter oils such as sewing machine oil.
