Description:
This typewriter belonged to Rev. John Flynn, also known as 'Flynn of the inland', and was used in the 1930's and 40's.
There's little detail accessible for this typewriter, however the company label on the machine came from 'Office Equipment pty, ltd'. This company appears to be a major seller of Hermes machines, as there are many examples in Australia that have this retailer label on it.
This particular label gives a retailer address in Sydney. It may have been purchased, or re-sold at this location.
*the above-mentioned date is an estimate of the age of the machine, and not

A resident of Melbourne, Australia. I have too many typewriters, and not enough space. But what can I say? I just love the things!
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Hermes Baby on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Hermes Serial Number page and the Hermes Baby By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
