Description:
Typospherian solidarity goes a long way - this gem came to me via friend P. in L. - just like Poland!
The F.K. Mala started with high hopes in 1938 - the Hermes Baby portable, of which it obviously is a clone, had taken the markets by storm since 1935. However, German boots ended production after the invasion of Poland of September 1939.
A remarkable feature of the F.K. MaĆa line (note the special "l", for pronounciation ask a Polish friend next to you) is its colourfulness. They came in the usual Hermes Baby dove grey, but also in the bordeaux colour shown and also in a shade of blue. Quite something for the 1930s.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the FK Mala on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the FK Serial Number page and the FK Mala By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
