Description:
Almost pristine Underwood model 6 Champion, Found for 75 dollars in an antique store in Nova Scotia. I love the brown crinkle paint. This is probably my favorite typewriters out of all the machines I have had the pleasure of using. It has a few quirks, mostly to do with the keys. They are Bakelite, yet I cannot find another example of an Underwood 6 with Bakelite keys. The colon and semicolon key is incorrect, as the semicolon is a plus symbol. That leads me to believe the keys were replaced later on in the typewriters life.

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Underwood 6 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Underwood Serial Number page and the Underwood 6 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
