1939 Corona 4 Serial # V5P10100 1939 Corona 4 typewriter, Serial # V5P10100 Richard Polt's 1939 Corona 4 typewriter. 2014-04-11 From the Virtual Typewriter Collection of Richard Polt: 1939 Corona 4 Serial # V5P10100 I'm pretty confident about the 1939 date on this machine even though we don't have records of serial numbers starting with V. See the link to Shannon Johnson's explanation of the Corona Four serial numbering system.

Beautiful, sturdy little typewriter but manifestly inferior to the new basket-shift models. It's surprising how long the Corona 3 and Four were manufactured.
