Description:
Got this one from eBay in a very sorry state. Paint is coming off in places, case is corroding, and lots of rust on the key arms. Unfortunately it is also missing the backspace key.
The draw string was perished, but still in the machine, so I was able to save the little hook.
Everything needs a good cleaning and service, but all seeems to work well though. A good project machine

Software engineer by day, and typewriter newbie by night.
I got my first typewriter when I was a child, one of the kid's plastic ones, but was not satisfied.
I moved on the first real one, a portable Silver-Reed Silverette S, which I still own today, and use once in a while.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Corona 3 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Corona Serial Number page and the Corona 3 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
