Description:
Pica type
German keyboard
I bought this, hoping a little too optimistically that it would have more ergonomic and better-placed function levers than my 1931 Conti. (The functions which were already a little archaic in 1931 haven't changed a bit!)
Great to type on and the green accents look sharp, but I'm waiting for a Continental 100.

I started collecting typewriters in 2006, but what started it all was using my mother's Brother Student-Riter XL1 in 2004. The next year I received my grandma's Smith-Corona Silent, which was enough to hold me over for a little while but eventually led to an obsession with manual portable typewriters.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Continental Klein Conti on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Continental Serial Number page and the Continental Klein Conti By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
