Description:
One of several fascist-era inspired names in Italy by which S.I.M. typewriters were called. This rare MAS specimen bears the name inspired by famous Gabriele D''Annunzio motto, the Latin acronym for "Memento Audere Semper" (in Italian "ricordati di osare sempre", in English "remember to always dare" ).

I have been an Italian typewriter collector for many many years. At that time, I loved very old typewriters from late 1800s to early 1900s. After a break of a few years I returned to collect typewriters but no longer so old, I prefer now the design of the 40's, 50's and 60's. Yes, I am an affectionate collector of Olivetti, of course, but I'm attracted to all the other brands from that period, not just Italian.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the SIM MAS on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the SIM Serial Number page and the SIM MAS By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
