I've been wanting a Speed King for quite a while. I found this one, which was listed as having a broken space bar. It was fixed within two minutes of the typewriter arriving. It came with a receipt from 1945 for a new spool of ribbon. It even has the original key for the case.

I caught the typewriter bug when I fell in love with an Underwood 5. A few months later and I am now up to 10 typewriters, with the majority consisting of Royal P's and O's. I keep telling myself that "this is the last one", but we all know how that goes..
