Description:
The seller described this as "the typewriter which will never type again." It types. At first it would not trip the escapement but a couple of times back and forth on the carriage and it started working. It has issues with the ribbon lift, the right margin, the bell. I don't really use it. It seems like it has a lot of miles on it. The line lock works but it has trouble engaging. The tabulator works; the stops are push and slide, there are five. Also have the carrying case (2 latches).
I replaced the rear feed roller. The platen is hard.

I started with 2 Monroe calculating machines then in January 2023 I used my Christmas money to buy a 1936 L.C. Smith and Corona, Corona Standard portable. Since then have acquired more typewriters. Also have 2 Engineers Transits (surveying instruments), a K+E Foresters staff compass, and 4 slide rules. Typewriters as a hobby has been more affordable than antique surveying instruments anre and they are easier to obtain.
