Description:
This is the oldest of my four Olivetti ICO (MP1). It is painted (repainted) in a delicate shade of sky blue, but its original colour was dark red. The quality of the work done let me asume it was factory repainted. Now, with eighty years over its shoulders, the original colour shows like a kind of mechanical pentimento.
The typewriter is near complete, even the usually lost blue ribbon covers are present, but lacks the carriage return lever. The box is present too, but as I am now putting in order my personal typewriter museum, I've done a mess with the boxes (next month I promise you to add a picture of the corresponding box).
The ribbon is dry, so I owe you the typeface specimen sample. The kis in spanish (hence the key "Ñ", and several others in spanish too, like "Retroceso" instead of "Backspace" or "Mayúsculas" instead of "Capitol Letters".
