Description:
Took a bit to find the serial number…open the left side ribbon cover and look towards the back…unsure about a lot of functionality. Set margins, needs a spring for the return bar, etc. what are those buttons on the front?
That said it is a looker and the script typeface is an unusually readable type. I’ll add more info as I figure it out. Any helps would be appreciated.

I have a passion for analog methods of putting words on paper. I own a letterpress shop that helps to fill this desire, but found typewriters also have a role in producing written materials with a value-added dimension. I'm drawn to working typewriters and renovate them as I am able. I'm pretty handy with things mechanical. Overall, I feel more like an enthusiast with a collection that will get used by design. I understand the temptation to buy them all, but I don't have a store to sell them in. I'm also no expert in repair, so it's a matter of finding the best typefaces and typing feel that helps me to get words on paper. Type on!
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Mercedes Selekta on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Mercedes Serial Number page and the Mercedes Selekta By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
