Description:
This is another typewriter we picked up in NYC in the 1970s. It has never been used and as you can see it's in pretty bad shape. Multiple keys on the left side appear to have issues. I am looking forward to cleaning it up more and restoring it to full operating condition.

Proud owner of an Underwood no. 5 serial number 250 1035 - 5. In the family since sometime in the 70s. Used once in a typewriter emergency in college in the 80s (the electric Brother failed a day before a paper deadline.) Put away since, but now cleaned up and working.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the L.C. Smith Super Speed on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the L.C. Smith Serial Number page and the L.C. Smith Super Speed By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
