Description:
A lucky find: cosmetically in good condition, with the original spools and... a recovered platen. That wasn't the only maintenance this machine got, the carriage release lever knob has been replaced with some kind of bolt.
The pinch line spacer is textbook example of effective design; it does the job with just a few parts.
Although not the most comfortable machine for writing long pieces, I find the Hermes Baby well suited for notes and the occasional letter. It even accepts envelopes.

I live in The Netherlands.
Most common typewriter brands over here are Triumph/Adler, Olympia, Erika, Olivetti, Remington and Brother.
I collect and restore typewriters to learn about their design and to write with them.
