Description:
This model had been on my wishlist for a long time, and I love it even more than I thought I was going to! I vaguely remember reading somewhere that Corona did not sell any models in Australia for a long time after the 3, so it's hard to find anything between it and the postwar models here. It took ages for anything at a remotely attainable price (with shipping factored in) to appear on the US eBay, and I was lucky enough to be the only bidder.
This one is a bit dirty and the crinkle finish is blemished, but it has a simple, clean design and is very pleasant to use. I am a big fan of a pared-back machine as long as it works well, and this one travels notably well - light, compact and portable.
(Sorry for the awful photos, everything is still in boxes after moving house... this package arrived not five minutes after I walked through the door!)

RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Corona Zephyr on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Corona Serial Number page and the Corona Zephyr By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
