Description:
Pretty good paint for its age. Two things, however, did not age well on this Zephyr: the padding under the slugs and the padding on the base. Once I cleaned the black goo, I put a piece of leather cord under the slugs. Then new black felt on the base. No original spools or ribbon covers, sadly. Once I get some ribbon, I'll update the typeface specimen.
Update: I borrowed two spools from my Skyriter to see how this thing types. Quick little typer, but the ribbon wasn't raising when the keys were struck. Apparent;y, I had overlooked that it's missing the vibrator arm that attaches behind the left ribbon base.
