Description:
Pica sized type.Originally not printing very well, but i figured out the problem was that the platen roller has lots of bumps on it. So I have been using 320 grit sandpaper and a block of wood and slowly reducing the high spots on the platen. It prints much better now. The feel of the keyboard is excellent and most of the carriage binding was caused by the uneven platen. The rear stabilizing rail also has one spot on it where the roller is pinching and so I've taken that stabilizing rail off.
I see that the back of the case has been broken at one point and welded back together.
This one does not have the front "Royal" decal.

The pounding typebar, having writ, moves on... unless there's a ding.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal KHM on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal KHM By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
