Description:
Bought for 250 SEK as my second machine. It was broken when I got it and so I got it with the specific purpose of trying to repair it to get into repair. I succeeded and it has become my favourite machine. It is scuffed with marks all over, the rear logo is barely even there anymore, someone has harshly carved a string of numbers into the back - but I love this machine with all of my heart. She has written most of my work since I got her, in spite of her quirks. I have named her Beth.
The previous owner said that the machine belonged to their grandparent who bought it new back in the 30s. It has stayed in the family and has mainly been a decorative item. Apparently both kids and grandkids played on it a lot, which I found proof of in the form of two crayons inside of the machine beneath the basket. I still have the crayons.

Swedish woman who bought a typewriter two years ago, and after that all hope was lost. Have specific interest in mechanical models pre-1960, but I have a couple outside that range and love them all the same. I like to tinker with them, both to repair and understand them, and I type every day.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal KHM on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal KHM By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
