Description:
A year and a half ago I bought 20 typewriters including this one. I didn't want some of them, but the seller insisted on selling the complete collection. Therefore, it was a typewriter for parts (as were the UNIS tmb de luxe, AEG Model 7, Underwood No. 5, and Remington Portable). And some parts helped other collectors. Now I need to get the correct ribbon spools, replace the rubber roller feed and test its functionality. Czech keyboard.
UPDATE:
02/2023 moved to a new owner as a fully functional typewriter

Historical typewriters, cameras, sewing machines, ... - all beautiful things, that work only on the basis of human skill and ability. Therefore, they deserve our attention and respect. I do not want to let those inventions that pushed us forward much faster than we were prepared, them disappear in this way.
Lives in Michalovce, Slovakia. Proud father of two children. Started collecting in March 2020. More a hunter than a collector or restorer. But determined to change it and bring the machines to a new life. Thank you in advance for any of your advice and help. (English is not my strong side, so I use Uncle Google's help. Correct me anytime).
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Olympia 8 on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Olympia Serial Number page and the Olympia 8 By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
