Description:
Purchased 2/12/2019 at Midway Antique in Colombia, MO
My first Erika! It's a little rough, but most important to me, it's QWERTY! The rest of the keyboard is German, so it's a good indicator that the Y and Z were professionally swapped. There is some rust on the bars and in the type basket, but I'm hoping once I clean it up it will work fine. Everything else seems to function correctly.

I've been collecting typewriters since 2010. I currently have 100+ machines in my possession. A little over half of them reside in my "personal" collection, while the rest are machines I intend to clean up for sale, or are long-term restoration projects (I'm looking at you, Olivers and Foxes!).
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Erika S on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Erika Serial Number page and the Erika S By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
