Description:
A prepossessing example of stout Underwood engineering. This 4-bank conventional Underwood Universal crossed my work-bench upon the desire by a customer for a service and a new ribbon. Alas wear on the paper-table wore off the Underwood decal, the remaining of the identifying decorations however, are in fine condition. The lacquered paint is somewhat checkered from (suspected) U.V. ray exposure, but it still buffs like a mirror after half a dozen polishing sessions with Turtle Wax and Mother's Polish. I suspect the typewriter suffered desecration from harsh transport handling, which left it with a crooked key-board and it's inability to full print capital-letters in the black-ribbon setting. As is so common with these particular typewriters, the front feet have long disintegrated. So two Checker pieces are currently a way for it be upheld until I can find a suitable replacement to rectify this problem.

Here you will find the machines that are currently still in possession or that have come and gone since December 2017.
***As of July 2020, this collection now also represents pieces from the collection of Troy Krahn!
