Description:
When I typed an apostrophe the first time, I saw an odd nothing that looked like a broken slug. It turned out to be a sub-4. This machine has several subs and exponents shown in the type sample. The name of the presumed original owner and town is on the case ... he would have been 18 in 1936. Off to college typewriter? This one has a few blems appearance-wise, but is a good typer.

Typewriter aficionado (aflicionado?) located in the U.S. Midwest. Freshly retired, I am often asked what I will do with my time? If they could see my typewriter collection, they wouldn’t ask!
I enjoy finding, fixing, and using typewriters.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal O on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal O By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
