Description:
Very nice condition. Platen is hard but otherwise in good working condition. I was gifted it from the estate of Dave Barker. I've t-cut the paint back to a gloss finish, new ribbon and general clean up so it types OK. The only issue is the ribbon rides up a bit but I think that might be because it is a cheap, thin ribbon rather than the typewriter. I'm donating this to charity December 2025.

I've caught the typewriter bug from somewhere recently. I think it may have been a long running exhibition at the museum here in Edinburgh. Generally I have a desire to be more analogue.
RESEARCH NOTE: When researching the Royal O on a computer with lots of screen real estate, you may find that launching the Royal Serial Number page and the Royal O By Model/Year/Serial page in new browser windows can give you interesting perspectives on changes throughout the model series.
